A CONVERSATION ON PRACTICE
SEPTEMBER 8, 2019. 9:30 AM
789 Yonge Street. 2nd Floor. M4W 2G8
WHAT IS STOICISM? /
Stoicism is making a revival. It’s a philosophy of virtue that guides us to align ourselves to what is truly good. It’s popular with a number communities world-wide, ranging from psychotherapists to Silicon Valley technocrats. Forbe’s magazine stated that modern Stoic thought "holds fascinating promise for business and government leaders tackling global problems in a turbulent, post-recession slump."
Toronto is the home to the largest Stoic community in the world. In this years Stoicon-X our theme is PRACTICE. The Modern Stoic movement has found itself and is now in the process of discovering and developing ways to practice both individually and collectively. This year's conference is meant to advance this discussion.
